"Organized in 1979 as a product of Drum Corps in Evansville,Inc. Toured in competition the summer of 1980 after only 4 months of preperation. 1981 proved successful as they moved up in DCI finals and captured 4th place in the VFW National Competition. In 1982 the corps finished in the top ten in Drum Corps Midwest. The Imperial Guard is the only competing corps in Indiana and hopes to make 1983 a banner year.

The Imperial Guard was a junior marching and maneuvering corps based in Evansville, Indiana. It was sponsored by the local Civitan Club.

The Guard was active in the early 1980s. Its highest finished as 32nd in Open Class Prelims in 1981.
