The Dynamiques drum and bugle corps was originally formed as a bugle band in 1935, a program that was part of the St. Michel School in Buckingham. The founder was Mr. Poirier and the corps director was Brother Gatien.
In 1958, under the direction of Brother Pierre Campagna, the corps evolved to a drum and trumpet band until the fall of 1962, when, this time, they converted to a drum and bugle corps. About 60 to 70 young people had the opportunity to flourish in this organization under the musical direction of Maurice Legault, brass and choreography instructor and René Roquebrune and Roch St-Jean, percussion instructors The corps entered the field of competition in 1963 and showed great progression the following season by finishing 2nd at both the 1964 Québec Provincials and Canadian Nationals “Class B” championships. In the fall of 1964, on a plot of 500' by ' 340, the Dynamiques purchased and built a new rehearsal facility and moved in a building built for practices in 1965.
In 1965, the Dynamiques were crowned both the Provincial and Canadian Nationals “Class B” champions, defending their Provincial title in 1966, while also expanding their facility to include practice rooms. The corps was selected to represent Québec in Western Canada for a tour commemorating the celebrations of the centenary of the Confederation in 1967. That year saw the group rank 4th in the Canadian Nationals “Class B” finals. Over the next two seasons, the unit participated in the Nationals “Class B” championships, placing 7th in 1968 and 6th in 1969, adding a 3rd place finish in the 1969 Canada Central Circuit contest. The next year, Buckingham reverted back to parade status due to a lack of staff and once again traveled to Western Canada in August of that year.
In 1971, they merged with the Cadets Champlain of Gatineau to form the Ambassadeurs.
