The Eldoradans drum and bugle corps was organized in October of 1970 and was originally sponsored by KBTV, Channel 9 of Denver and the Leyden-Chiles-Wickersham American Legion (AL) Post 1, under the direction of Larry Roads.
Sporting their orange colored uniforms, the corps competed as a member of the Great Plains Association, participating in the 1971 VFW Nationals’ parade and crowned the Colorado AL champions that same year. The Eldoradans competed within the circuit from 1971 to 1976, for the exception of 1975, when they reverted to parade and exhibition status that season.
They disbanded in 1977.
