The Boucliers drum and bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1965 by Sergeant Paul Aubertin of the St. Laurent police force originally as a drum & trumpet boys corps. Their original uniform consisted of black pants, blue blouse with red & black trims and a Gaucho hat with a large white & red plume.
In 1974, the corps competed at the FAMQ “Class C” championships and moved up to the “Class B” division, finishing 2nd at both the 1975 FAMQ and Canadiana circuits. The following season saw the corps go inactive but came back in 1977, under the direction of Robert Jutras and an impressive instructional staff, the corps enjoyed their most successful season of competition, finishing 3rd at both the Circuit du Québec Junior Association and the FAMQ “Class A” championships.
In the fall of 1977, the corps was informed by the FAMQ that they were expelled from the organization for marching with overaged members.
The corps ceased operations in 1978.
