Colibris

The Colibris drum and bugle corps was originally formed as a drum and trumpet corps.

They competed as members of the FAMQ “Trumpet Class” until 1979, when the unit converted to a drum and bugle corps, under the direction of Marcel Therrien. That year, the corps was a finalist at both the “Circuit des Corps Musicaux du Québec” (CCMQ), placing 5^th in the “Class B” division and 6^th at the FAMQ “Class B” championships.

The following year, the Colibris traveled to the World Open “Class B” contest, where they placed 4^th in the finals, finishing 11^th at the Canadian Nationals in the “Open Class” division and 8^th at the FAMQ “Open Class” championships.

The drum corps disbanded in 1981, but a competitive guard operated for a few years later.
