The Boy Scouts of America Troop 63 drum and bugle corps was organized in 1967 and sponsored by the Holy Name Society of the St. Mary of Celle church under the direction of Ted Rurik.

For several years, the corps performed at various parish and troop affairs as well as numerous parades and award celebrations. In 1970, Edmund Makos took over leadership of the group and in 1973, the corps relocated under new sponsorship with the First Presbyterian church, under the direction of John Hagensick.

In 1982, the corps entered the field of competition, participating at the IL State Fair, placing 14th in the preliminaries and remained competitive the following season before returning to parade and exhibition status from 1984 to 1987, performing in the Mardi Gras in New Orleans each of those years.

They would go on to compete for two more seasons as members of the IL Drum Corps Association, in 1988 and 1992 before disbanding in 1993.
