The Earthquake drum and bugle corps was founded in February 1996 by the San Diego Drum & Bugle Corps Association, originally based out of Chula Vista, under the direction of Vince Siciliano.
The corps performed in parades and exhibitions in their inaugural season of activity, they moved to San Diego and entered the field of competition as members of the DCI West circuit, where they finished 2nd in the Division “III” category. The following year saw the Earthquake move up to the “Division II” class, placing 3rd in the DCI West contest.
They disbanded in1999.
