The Étoiles drum and bugle corps was formed from the ashes of the Étoiles “All-Girls” corps in the fall of 1975 and based out of Rimouski, under the leadership of Maurice Paul and Laurent Tardif.
After their inaugural season of parades and exhibitions, the corps competed as members of the FAMQ “Class B” division, placing 4th in the 1977 preliminaries and 3rd in the 1978 finals. The Rimouski unit also competed in the 1977 CQJA circuit, finishing in 10th position in the “Class A” contest and 3rd in the 1978 CCMQ circuit finals.
They disbanded in 1979 as several members migrated to the newly reorganized Voltigeurs of Rimouski.
