The Crescendo drum & bugle corps was originally formed in 1976 as the Québécois drum & trumpet corps.
In the fall of 1980, the corps converted to a drum and bugle corps and competed as members of the 1981 FAMQ “Class C” circuit, placing 7th and, under their new name, the Crescendo, was crowned the 1982 FAMQ “Class C” champions. That year, they also participated in the DCI “Class A” championships, finishing in 12th position in the prelims.
The 1983 season proved to be another successful year for the corps, winning the Drum Corps / World Open “Class B” championships and finishing 11th in the DCI Canada “Open Class” preliminaries. They capped off the season with the FAMQ “Class A” circuit title. The following year saw the corps rank 18th in the 1984 DCI quarterfinals and defended their FAMQ “Class A” title.
They disbanded in 1985.
