The Assumption Lariats drum and bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1960 and was sponsored by Our Lady of Assumption church of East Boston. They were a feeder corps for the Assumption Cadets.
In their inaugural season, the corps, with 32 members, took part in numerous parades and exhibitions. They also joined both the CYO and Eastern Massachusetts circuits over the course of their tenure. In 1962, they entered the “Class C” division of both circuits and competed from 1962 through to 1964.
They disbanded in 1965.
