The Don Juans drum and bugle corps was originally formed in 1965 as the Damian Don Juans, a perennial member of the Eastern Massachusetts (E-Mass) circuit.
After their first season of local activity, the corps entered the field of competition in them 1966 E-Mass “Class C” division, placing 2nd and participated in another perennial event, the World Open championships, where they placed 2nd in the “Class B” grouping in 1967, moving up that year to the E-Mass “Class A2”, finishing in 4th position.
The Don Juans went on to capture the 1968 World Open “Class B” title and were nosed out by 5 tenths of a point in the E-Mass “Class A2” division. In 1969, the unit moved up to “Class A” competition and finished 28th in the World Open “Class A” preliminaries and contended as members of the E-Mass circuit. In their last season on the field, the Cambridge unit improved their standing in the 1970 World Open “Class A” prelims by placing 20th along with a 4th place finish in the E-Mass “Class A1” championships.
They disbanded in 1971.
