The Falcons drum and bugle corps was organized in 1961 under the leadership William McKnight in the cellar of a row home in Baltimore.
From its inception, the corps was a self-supported group with borrowed instruments and managed to remain active in local and regional events over the next 6 years of operation. After reorganizing in the fall of 1966, they paraded once again in 1967 until the Falcons’ dream came through when they entered their first field competition on June 29th, 1968. The Baltimore unit would pursue competitively in both 1969 & 1970, participating in Eastern State circuit contests as guests and performed as a parade corps in 1971.
They disbanded in 1972.
