In April of 1966, the Bayshore Buccaneers drum and bugle corps was formed after the Firesiders of Union Beach opted to return to parade status, prompting the Harris Gardens Fire Company 1 to organize a new corps, attracting several former Firesiders’ members to join.

Under the direction of Charles Harrold and Theodore Brunelli, the corps entered the field of competition in 1966 through 1969 before reverting as a color guard unit in 1970.

They disbanded in 1972.
