The Breen-McCracken American Legion (AL) Post 270 drum and bugle corps was originally formed in March 1922 as a fife and drum corps.

They competed at the 1922 and 1923 state championships before going inactive over the next three seasons. In 1927, the Post 270 reorganized and participated in the PA AL parade convention and remained active the next two years, competing at the 1930 AL Nationals prelims, placing 34th in Boston. Between 1931 and 1936, the corps returned to parade status within the community and regionally.

They disbanded in 1937.
