Celtic Cadets

The Celtic Cadets was organized in 1965 by Roland “Buddy” and Bette Burns who also served as corps directors.

In August 1965, the corps sponsored a dance to help raise funds for equipment and uniforms and became active as a parade and exhibition unit their first two seasons, performing both locally and regionally. They also organized a competitive winter guard.

In 1968, the corps entered the field of competition, albeit brief, participating in the World Open “Class B” preliminaries, placing 21^st. They returned to parade status over the balance of their existence.

They disbanded in 1973.
