The Crystallins drum and bugle corps was originally formed through a merger between the Dynamiques of Lévis and the Sénateurs of Ancienne-Lorette in 1984 as members of the FAMQ circuit.
In their initial season of competition as the Sénateurs-Dynamiques, the corps placed in 8th position in the “Class B” preliminaries and reorganized in 1985 as the Crystallins from St. Jean Chrysostome, a suburb of Lévis. That year saw the unit move up to a 5th place finish in the FAMQ prelims, qualifying in the finals of the 1986 FAMQ “Class B” championships, finishing 3rd.
They disbanded in 1987.
