The Emerald Buccaneers drum and bugle corps was formed in 1960 and based in Jacksonville.
The corps competed in the 1961 VFW Nationals, placing 24th in the preliminary round and competed as members of the Southeastern circuit in 1962. They remained active from 1963 to 1967 and competed in the 1968 Florida VFW state convention.
They disbanded in 1969.
