The Cavalières “All-Girls” drum & bugle corps was founded in 1970 through a merger between the Riveraines of Chateauguay and the Sentinelles of Jacques Cartier, two suburbs of Montréal. They were under the direction of Jacques Daignault.
They entered field competition in 1970, winning the International circuit title and participated at the provincial level throughout their tenure. In 1972, the Cavalières competed at the Canada Central Circuit championships, placing 4th, Drum Corps Canada, finishing 12th in the prelims and were a finalist at the Canadian Nationals “All-Girls” class, where the placed 3rd. In 1973, the corps extended their competitive arena as they toured to the US Open “All-Girls” prelims, placing 13th and repeated as Canadian Nationals finalist, once again earning 3rd position in the “All-Girls” division.
The following year, the Cavalières may have competed regionally but disbanded in 1975.
