The Conquistadores Optimistes drum and bugle corps was originally formed as the Cadets of Grand-Mère in 1958.
In 1964, the corps was renamed the Conquistadores Optimistes and were charter members of the International Association circuit. The following year, they competed in the Québec Provincial championships, placing 2nd in the “Class B”.
They disbanded in 1966.
