The Castle Rangers drum and bugle corps was formed in August 1973 and sponsored by the Munising American Legion Post 131 and the Munising Lions Club.
The corps was principally a parade and exhibition unit but did enter the field of competition in 1975 as members of the Great Lakes Drum Corps Association before returning to parade status.
They disbanded in 1981.
