The Dynamiques “Senior” drum and bugle corps was originally formed in 1990 by members of the former “Junior” corps as part of a reunion celebrating the town of Buckingham’s centennial, held June 17th, 1990, under the musical leadership of Hall of Famer, Maurice Legault.
The reunification was such a success that the corps converted to an alumni parade and exhibition unit and became very popular; often in demand to perform in DCA circuit exhibitions between 1991 to 1994. In a last minute decision, as invitations were declining, the Dynamiques competed in the 1994 DCA championships, placing 14th in the preliminaries and improved to a 13th place finish the following season, participating in a full schedule of DCA circuit contests.
In 1996, they experienced staff turn-over that led to a jazz oriented style, as the corps retained their 13th position status in the DCA prelims before going inactive the next year. Regrouping in 1998, once again under a completely new staff and musical direction, the corps finished in 3rd place in the DCA “Class A” competition and was awarded the high percussion trophy, which consisted of a 5-member pit.
They disbanded in 1999.
