The Diplomats drum and bugle corps was formed in 1933 and originally performed as a parade unit in their first 35 years of activity. In 1967, the corps entered the field of competition as members of the Midwest circuit, placing 4th in the championships and also captured the IL State Fair title that year, closing out their competitive pursuit with a 4th position ranking in the 1968 Midwest contest.
They may have disbanded in 1969.
