CORPS Photos
The Cardinals drum and bugle corps was organized in 1960 and sponsored by the Irvin Hiskey American Legion (AL) Post 535 of Bellville.
The corps competed for three seasons in the Ohio Legion state convention, placing 3rd in 1961, followed by a 4th place finish in 1962 and finally returning to 3rd position in 1963. This was a corps that knew how to adapt. After receiving a score of 39.63 for one 1962 Ohio AL contest, the corps went home, rewrote the show, rehearsed it, and scored a 67.30 from the same panel of judges just two weeks later.
They remained active from 1964 to 1967 as a parade and exhibition unit, disbanding in 1968.
