The 12th District AL Auxiliary Post drum and bugle corps was formed in the late 1920’s.
They were crowned the IN AL “Auxiliary” state champions from 1930 to 1936. In 1937, the Indianapolis unit was penalized 2 points for exceeding the time limit for concert, losing by pone tenth of a point. They entered a formal complaint but it was turned down. Remarkably, the penalty would not have affected the outcome as the eventual champions were also penalized 2 points for exceeding the 15 minute limit.
The following year, the corps hosted the state championship, returning to competition in 1939 and 1940; the latter with a 3rd place finish, remaining active during the 1941 season.
They disbanded once World War II was declared.
