The Aventurières “All Girls” drum and bugle corps was originally formed in 1969 and was incorporated on March 26th, 1971.

They performed as a parade and exhibition corps until 1974 when they converted to a drum and trumpet corps, placing 2nd in the FAMQ “Class C” division. The following tear, the Aventurières entered the field of drum and bugle competition and went on to compete in the FAMQ, Canadiana and CQJA circuits.

The 1975 season saw the corps finish 3rd in the “All Girls” division of the FAMQ championships and in 1976, they competed at the CQJA championships, finishing 11th and missing out from the finals by one position.

In 1977, the corps went coed and reorganized as the Renaissance.
