The Chevaliers drum and bugle corps was organized in 1963 under the direction of Wilfrid Rochon, alderman of St. Michel. The corps director was Claude Rochon.
The corps performed as a parade and exhibition unit, entering the field of competition in 1967 where they placed 4th at the International “Class A” circuit championships with a staff that included Michel Demers, on brass and musical director, Claude LeFebvre on percussion and Robert Pépin on visual.
The following season, the Chevaliers returned to the field of competition but the group experienced some difficulties that shortened their 1968 season.
They disbanded in 1969.
