The Earls of Bucks drum and bugle corps was formed through a merger between the Pennsylvanians of Levittown and the Brigadiers of Feasterville in 1966 and was originally known as the Pennsylvania Brigadiers.
In their inaugural year of competition, they managed a 5th place finish in the 1966 PA VFW state championships, improving to 4th in 1967 under their new name, the Earls of Bucks. This change was made to better represent and expand the organization regionally within the Bucks County as they continued to impress and improve over the 1968 season.
Over the next 3 years, the corps, as members of the Eastern States circuit, earned a finalist ranking all 3 times, placing 5th in 1969, 9th in 1970 and finally an 8th place finish in 1971. In their last seasons of competition, the Bucks County unit participated in the World Open championships, finishing 16th in the 1972 “Class B” divisional prelims and 26th in the 1973 “Class A” preliminary round.
In 1974, they merged with the Bracken Cavaliers of Bristol to form the Bucks County Cavaliers.
