Eklipse

Eklipse drum and bugle corps spawned in the fall of 2002 from the two very successful programs under the Eklipse organization, the Winter Drumline and the Winter Color Guard, under the direction of Jason Shelby and sponsored by the Eklipse Youth Organization.

The corps called Murray State University home, and most practices and camps took place on the MSU campus. Eklipse had an exceptional array of experienced staff, involved with the marching arts for years. The youth involved learned not only how to better control their instrument, but leadership skills, patience, tolerance, and respect for tradition. Brass instruments were provided by Murray State University and the Center Grove high school matching band. Uniforms were provided by the Murray high school marching band. They competed in the Midwest summer circuit as a “Division III” corps from June 20^th to July 11^th, placing 3^rd in the DCI Midwest “Division III” class.

The corps disbanded in 2004 due to low membership.
