The Crescent City Rebels drum & bugle corps was a parade unit formed in the fall of 1960 by Charles Gai Jr. and sponsored by the Metairie VFW Post 3267 with support from the Harahan Lions club as the Metairie VFW Post 3267 Cadets.
In 1962, the corps changed its name to the Crescent City Rebels and in 1963, they merged with the Southernaires and their feeder corps, the New Orleans Cadets to form the Masqueraders.
