The Daurice Rangers drum and bugle corps was formed in 1954 as the feeder corps for the Daurice Vigilantes and was sponsored by the Daurice School of Music and Dance.
They sported a western theme and wore cowboy outfits “a la Roy Rogers”, with maroon pants and white shirts with maroon and blue embroidery and fringe. In their inaugural season of competition, the Rangers won the 1954 Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) “Straight Marching Parade Class” title and placed 5th in the Eastern Massachusetts (E-Mass) “Straight Marching” division. The next two seasons saw the corps enter the field of competition, moving up to the CYO “Class B” division and remained active as a parade unit in 1957.
They disbanded in 1958.
