The Dukes Juniors drum and bugle corps was originally formed in the fall of 1966 as the Immaculate Conception (IC) Junior Dukes, a feeder corps for the IC Dukes.
They entered the field of competition in 1967 as members of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) “Prep Division”, placing 2nd as well as the Mayflower “Class C” circuit and graduated to the CYO “Class C” ranks from 1968 to 1972, finishing within the “Top 5” contenders over that period. In 1973, the corps joined the Eastern Massachusetts (E-Mass) circuit, placing 3rd in the “Class C” championships and was crowned the 1974 E-Mass champions.
In 1975, the corps reorganized as the Dukes of Marlborough.
