The Amvet Buccaneers drum & bugle corps was organized in the fall of 1967 as a second feeder corps to the Amvet Brigadiers. They were a member of the Mayflower circuit and competed as a Class “C” corps from 1969 to 1972.
In their inaugural year, the corps participated in parade and exhibition activities before entering the realm of competition the following season. In 1970, they continued to compete in the “Class C” division of the Mayflower and the following year, placed 6th in the “Class C” championships.
In 1972, the Amvet Buccaneers remained competitively active within the circuit before fusing into the Amvet Lancers in 1973.
