The Cadets Impérial drum and bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1976 under the direction of Lucien Chenette, president of the unit.
They were located in the south shore of Montréal and entered the field of competition in the 1977 FAMQ “Class C” division, where the corps finished 3rd in the championships. The following season, the Impérial joined the Upstate New York circuit, placing 7th at the championships.
They disbanded in 1979.
