The Ex-Servicemen drum and bugle corps was originally formed in August 1928 as the Chaska American Legion (AL) Post 57.
During the course of their history, the corps was a modest sized unit, focused on military and local events, entering AL state contests over the years, sporting steel helmets and purple coats with gold breeches. Upon return from the World War II theatre, the group was renamed the Ex-Servicemen and was crowned the 1951 & 1958 Minnesota AL state “Class B” champions, wearing grey and black uniforms with a red trim.
They disbanded in 1960.
