The Coachmen drum and bugle corps was formed on March 26th, 1964 and was sponsored by the VFW Post 1631 of Concord, under the leadership of Edward Colby.
The corps performed as a parade and standstill unit the first 2 years, entering the field of competition in the “All-American” Senior circuit, placing in 5th position in the 1966 championships. They also won both the American Legion and VFW state titles that year. The corps returned to parade and standstill competition the following season.
They disbanded in 1968.
