The Bonnies “All-Girls” drum and bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1961 by the Bolton-Kasica-Patterson American Legion Post of Berlin.
They competed for two short seasons, participating at the 1962 All-American championships, placing in 5th position and at the inaugural 1963 World Open preliminaries, finishing in 29th place. They also competed in the Yankee Circuit “Class B” championships, placing 10th.
In 1964, the Bonnies reorganized as a coed unit and became the Highlanders parade corps.
