The Cervantes drum and bugle corps was originally formed in the fall of 1972 as the feeder corps for the Castlemen, who had reorganized in Binghamton.
The corps was primarily a parade and exhibition unit, performing locally until the Castlemen disbanded in 1977. That same year, the Cervantes entered the field of competition for one season before returning to parade status the following year.
They disbanded in 1979.
