IRON MOUNTAIN - John C. O'Donnell, 70, formerly of 300 West F St. in Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
John was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Dr. J.C. and Eileen (McKindles) O'Donnell. He was a 1959 graduate of Iron Mountain High School and attended both Northern Michigan University and the University of Colorado.
John was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served from 1963-1967. After he was discharged from the Air Force, John returned to Iron Mountain and formed the White Beret Drum and Bugle Corp. They performed in this area for many years and were a favorite during local parades."
