One of Germany's oldest drum corps, Fidele Vogelsanger Drum & Bugle Corps was a powerhouse in the 1980s, but slid into decline in the 1990s.

Fidele Vogelsanger returned to competition in 2002 and finished sixth in the first Drum Corps Germany Open. In 2003 they moved up to third at DCG.
