Corps was founded in 1981 by members of the Hamilton Central Lions Club along with a few interested parties in the Drum Corps activity.Hamilton had not had a Corps since the mid sixties when the Viscounts(sr) and Conquerer(jr) folded.Ontario in the early 80's was a drum corps hotbed with over 20 active corps in various classes.The Corps practiced hard and made their debut in the 1981Christmas Parade in Hamilton with approx: 75 members.Unfortuneatly a rift developed in early 82 with Corps mgt. and sponsor which is not new in drum corps and their was a split of the corps.The corps mgt broke off and formed Conquerer II a NATURAL crosstown rival!! Hard work paid off as the members and staff who remained with the corps rallied and overcame adversity and had a very successful competition season winning the Provincial and National "Cadet" Class Titles.
