They are sponsored by St. Therese Church, VFW John R. Little Post 3186 of Southgate and the J. W. Costigan American Legion Post 11 of Newport, Kentucky.
One of the most popular corps in the Cincinnati, Ohio and northern Kentucky area, they are in demand for all parades in surrounding communities and frequently travel to many other parts of these states. They were also chosen to represent the Kentucky Division in the VFW Parade in Detroit, 1968.
The Golden Knights are the present 1969 VFW State Champions in both drum and bugle corps and girls color guard. During this past winter they entered two junior All-American Association (southern chapter) Individual Contests and placed 1st in the soprano bugle, ensemble, and multiple bass drum division.
At present the corps is working hard and looking forward to seeing more and more of the fine corps and people connected with them."
