In 1973, Jose Feliciano put together a special arrangement of his hit "Light My Fire" for the corps. The tune had been a top-ten hit for Feliciano in 1968.

The Midshipmen of the Bronx NY, became the Knickerbockers of the Bronx circa 1968. Same corps, same people, same management, new sponsor ("Knickerbocker Savings Bank" of the Bronx, now defunct).
