The Cadets2 drum and bugle corps was formed in the fall of 2011 as an extension of the Cadets junior corps and sponsored by the Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!) organization.

Under the leadership of corps director George Hopkins, who was eventually accused of sexual misconduct and pleaded guilty to indecent assault *, the corps entered the field of competition in 2012 as members of the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) circuit. In their first 3 seasons, they slowly built up their status, gaining experience in the “All-Age” division, placing 5th from 2012 to 2014 in the DCA championships.

By 2015, the Cadets2 had made a serious leap in the rankings with a 2nd place finish and went on to be crowned the 2016 DCA champions before finishing in the bridesmaid position in 2017.

The next season, Rich Templin became the new corps director, replacing the aforementioned Hopkins. In their final year of competition, the Cadets2 once again placed 2nd in the 2018 DCA finals.

Due to financial restructuring, the corps was disbanded in 2019.
